We recognize the impact vehicles have on the environment. What many do not realize and it is often over-looked is the impact repairing vehicles has on the environment. Here at AJC Wilson we take active steps to minimize that impact. For example; Solvent usage. All vehicles need painting during the repair process. We use a Solvent Reduction Policy to reduce the harmful affects volatile organic solvents (VOC’s) have on the atmosphere. Damaged parts; this is another overlooked area. What happens to the damaged metal and plastic parts that are removed from you vehicle? Here at AJC Wilson, we use qualified waste carriers, along waste reduction techniques such as compacting and recycling. This reduces the amount going to land-fill or ending up in even more environmentally harmful situations. New Parts Packaging is another area taken for granted. All the new parts fitted to your vehicle will have been bought from a Dealer. The Dealer and or the Manufacturer often “cocoon” these parts in plastic, polystyrene, cardboard, and other non bio-degradable harmful containers. We at AJC Wilson ensure all this potentially harmful packaging is disposed of properly or even better, in the main, recycled.
